Stereotactic radiation is a type of external radiation therapy that precisely delivers radiation to a tumor. Its highly focused radiation is non-invasive and painless, often with minimal effects on surrounding tissue. The effectiveness of treatment is often very high, depending on the location of the tumor, what critical structures are close to the tumor, and the size and type of the tumor.
