    The data continues to show the consumption of unprocessed soy foods is protective against breast cancer development with no concerning risk of promoting the growth of breast cancer. In fact, higher soy intake may reduce the risk of dying from breast cancer by 20%.

    Processed or synthetic soy isolates, on the other hand, likely should be avoided as some of these have been shown in preclinical studies to fuel estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer cells.
